The Bowen Technique may be the answer! The Bowen Technique is a remarkable yet gentle non invasive body therapy and is extremely effective in the treatment of back pain, sciatica, sports injuries and virtually any muscular pain.
An appointment will take an hour and most of the work can be performed through light clothing. The trained practitioner, using thumbs and index fingers, makes very light rolling type moves over precise points on the body. These moves aim to disturb the muscle, connective tissue and subtle energies within the body releasing tightness, congestion and stagnation and prompting a reorganisation of the body on a subtle level. Studies of various light touch therapies have shown that one does not need forceful manipulation to achieve significant changes. In fact 4-5 treatments at weekly intervals are often sufficient to achieve lasting relief, although in some cases further treatments may be required.

I had a stroke two years ago and ordinary physiotherapy gave me a trapped sciatic nerve-agonising! Managed to get down stairs and into a car to visit Rob by dint of two people holding onto me. After one treatment I climbed the stairs unaided on my return and one other treatment I completed the cure. Rob has also greatly improved my partially dislocated left shoulder which was injured by the weight of my paralysed arms pulling on the joint. It is so wonderful not to have constant pain there.
Last week I fell and had a sprained ankle but luckily was on my way to see Rob. Last time I had a sprained ankle it took months to improve well enough to walk on. This time it ached a lot that evening, but next morning the pain had virtually gone and three days later it is completely gone except when doing a lot of standing or walking.
