Yoga for Menopause

14th January 2017 01:30 PM

A time for change

Experience yoga postures, breathing techniques, philosophy and relaxation practices to help us face the challenges and opportunities of menopause.

The workshop is suitable for everyone - and you don't need to have done yoga before, but you do need to be reasonably mobile. Throughout the 2hour session, we will be using yoga based techniques to help us cope with the physical and emotional challenges that the menopause can present.

We will be connecting to our female emergy as a starting point, moving on to practicing yoga postures and movements to help us feel more comfortable physically, plus some restorative poses to boost energy levels and soothing breathing meditation techniques to calm the body and mind.

Throughout the session, there will be opportunity to discuss issues relating to the menopause in a supportive environment.

The workshop will be led by British Wheel of Yoga teacher Katie Robb, and will take place on Saturday 14th January 2017, at The Bridge Centre, Mickleover, 1.30pm - 3.30pm.

The cost for the session is £20, payable in advance

On the day, please wear stretchy, comfortable layers of clothing, please bring a warm top, blanket, yoga block if you have one, or a small cushion. For the meditation it is nice, although not essential to wear a large scarf or shawl in your favourite colour.

For more information, and to reserve a place, please contact Katie Robb on 01283 702 539 or 07984 185 233 email
