The Bridge Centre for Natural Health is the trading name of Bridge Natural Therapies Limited.
At The Bridge Centre for Natural Health, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This Policy explains how, when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our Practice, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
We may change this Policy from time to time so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you’re happy with any changes. By consenting, you’re agreeing to be bound by this Policy.

Who are we?
We are The Bridge Centre for Natural Health, a multidisciplinary natural health clinic with therapies including but not exclusively Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Massage Treatments, and Talking Therapies. The Practice has two Co-owners Katy Henry and Charles Dunning, and provides treatment rooms, appointment booking facilities, administrative and marketing services to freelance practitioners. All our Practitioners are fully trained and insured in the therapies they provide. All enquiries regarding privacy should be directed to Katy Henry via the Centre Manager, Liz Say at the above address or directly to your Practitioner.
How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you register with us, for example, when you contact us to book an appointment, or book online (online booking is not currently available). The Bridge Centre for Natural Health holds information for the purposes of booking appointments only, any records relating to your medical history and or personal health are the property of the Practitioner(s) who treat you.
Website Contact Form: Queries received directly from the website via our contact form are held online for a month and then deleted.
Information will only be used / shared within the Centre (Practitioners and Reception Staff) to provide answers to your query.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, phone number(s) and how you found us e.g. recommendation, social media, etc. This information is stored securely on our computerised booking system, iSalon.
How is your information used?
We use your information to:
- Create a booking record;
- Contact you regarding changes to appointments and to keep you updated on our practice and the services we provide;
- Share, with your permission, contact information to your Practitioner(s);
- In the cases of minors (under 16s) the minors name will be taken alongside the details of the parent(s) / legal guardian providing consent for treatment.
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis, the iSalon computerised booking system will periodically review and delete personal records which have been dormant for a period of eight years. We are required to hold some types of information to fulfil legal obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary.
Practitioner Notes – Practitioners notes remain the property of the Practitioner throughout their tenure at our Centre and beyond.
The Bridge Centre’s Practitioners and their governing bodies follow the NICE guidelines in regard to the retention of any records / notes:
For adults records / notes are held for 8 years after their final appointment. For minors, if 17 at their final appointment records are held until they are 25 years old, or 26 years old if they are under 17 at their final appointment. After this period any paper or computerised notes are destroyed.
Where is your personal information stored?
We subscribe to an appointment booking system called iSalon. This is a secure computer-based computer based system that our administrative staff access via a password protected log in. iSalon is a professional booking system, used predominantly in hairdressers and other similar venues to schedule appointments. Any personal information recorded on paper is shredded and disposed of in house.
Osteopathy notes – paper copies are stored on site at the Centre in a secure, locked cabinet / cupboard, should the Practitioner stop working at our Centre the notes will be taken away with them, and managed in accordance with GDPR, NICE and how their governing bodies dictate.
Who has access to your information?
Personal Contact Information held on iSalon is accessed by members of the Bridge Centre Reception Team who operate under strict guidelines directed by the business and GDPR regulations. Access is for the purposes of administration. This will include contacting you to book, cancel or change an appointment, in response to a general enquiry, or to let you know of any important changes in our practice such as opening hours and changes in Practitioners who are involved in your treatment.
Your name (and contact details if needed) will be passed on to your Practitioner in the form of daily clinic lists and in the case of cross referral – with your permission - may be passed on to another Practitioner that your current therapist recommends.
Notes – each Practitioners holds their own notes for their clients, and these remain their property throughout their tenure at the Bridge Centre.
The Osteopathy notes – paper copies held at the Bridge Centre are done so at the request of the Osteopath(s) and are accessed 1. By the Bridge Centre Reception Team in order for collation of daily clinic list, and 2. By the owning Practitioner for referral and note taking in treatment.
We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Only your Practitioner and members of the Bridge Centre Reception Team have direct access to your medical records for the purposes stated above.
Your choices
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want appointment reminder communications from us (via text) then you can opt out at any time. We would point out that we offer reminders as a courtesy to help you remember your appointment.
We do like to keep our patients informed from time to time about new services and improvements in our practice to help with your care. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone, or text message, without your permission. You can opt in and out of marketing communications from us at any time.
How you can access and update your information
The accuracy of your information is important to us. If you change email address, or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at [email protected].
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we / your Practitioner(s) holds about you.
Requests can be made via email to Centre Manager, Liz Say or directly in writing to the Practitioner. Access to your notes can only be supplied by your treating Practitioner and upon receipt of verbal or written identity verification.
We and your Practitioner commit to supplying this requested information within a month of the written request.
Your right to be forgotten – you have the right to request access to your personal data on our system and also the right to be deleted.
Please note, as previously mentioned, the personal information on the iSalon system only covers basics - name, address, contact number, email address and how you found us.
Security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information.
Your personal data is accessed by us via password protected computers. Your personal data is stored on these devices via iSalon. You can view their privacy details at www.isalonsoftware.co.uk.
Email submissions via our webpage may not be 100% secure - we ask you not to include too much personal information in email submissions, please only use for general enquiries.
Cookies
As with most websites, our website does use cookies which are small files downloaded to your computer to improve your experience. They are mainly used to remember your browsing preferences such as information you may enter on one of our contact forms. We don't use your personal information to create a profile of your interests and preferences.
