Arriving for your Appointment

Please only arrive a couple of minutes prior to your treatment- due to ongoing COVID-19 procedures, there is currently no internal waiting area inside the building, however, feel free to wait in your car.

Please wear a mask if you are able (unless officially exempt). Once in the treatment room the Practitioner may allow you to remove your mask, this is at the discretion of the individual practitioner and masks should still be worn in communal areas of the building i.e., corridors, toilets, etc.

Your Practitioner will come out and collect you – they may take your temperature before allowing you to enter the building. If you are showing a temperature, you may be asked to leave and rebook your appointment.

Please apply Hand Sanitiser when entering and leaving the building.

What to wear to your Appointment?

For treatments that require physical interaction we suggest wearing non- restrictive clothing that will allow you to move comfortably and be examined where needed.

Some treatments may require the removal of certain items of clothing to allow for access to affected parts of the body. If you are uncomfortable with this, please advise your Practitioner and they will suggest an alternative process of treatment.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are currently unable to offer you blankets* during treatments, but please feel free to bring your own along.

*you will always be offered couch roll to maintain your modesty.

Treating Children

All our Practitioners are guided by their own governing bodies and will have individual procedures in place when treating children (some Practitioners may not treat minors at all). Your child’s Practitioner will advise you of their own procedures.

Osteopathy (including Cranial Osteopathy) Children 16 years and under must be accompanied throughout appointments by a parent or legal guardian.

Talking Therapies (this includes Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Emotional Freedom Technique and Brainworking Recursive Therapy ®) Children 18 years and under must be accompanied throughout appointments by a parent or legal guardian. A consent form must also be signed prior to treatment.


Parking is available outside of the building, we do ask that where possible you avoid parking in front of our neighbouring businesses. If you park on the local streets, please avoid blocking access to any properties.

All vehicles are left at the owner’s risk, and the Bridge Centre cannot take responsibility for any damage or theft of any vehicles whilst clients are visiting the centre.


The Bridge Centre Reception Team are currently available Monday – Friday; 9am -6pm.

An answerphone service is available for all calls made out of these hours, alternatively you can email the team on – responses to emails will be made in standard reception hours as detailed above.

Your appointment may take place out of these hours, as our Practitioners set their own schedules.

COVID-19 Procedures

To ensure the Health & Safety of all our Clients, Practitioners and the Bridge Team, restrictions remain in place, and you will be advised of specific requirements relating to your treatment when booking.

However, we do ask that all Clients adhere to the following…

  • DO NOT attend your appointment if you or anyone in your household are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or awaiting results from a COVID-19 test.
  • Please wear a Face Mask throughout your visit.
  • Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel is available in Reception, please apply upon entering & leaving the Centre.
  • We currently have no waiting area, please wait in your car or outside the Centre for your Practitioner to collect you for your appointment.
  • Please advise when booking if you wish to / will need to bring another person with you to your appointment.

We understand that people’s lives are busy and complex and that things happen which are out of your control. Wherever possible though we require 24-hour's notice of a cancelled appointment. If 24-hour's notice is not given our Practitioners reserve the right to charge you for the full cost of the missed appointment. This is at the discretion of the individual Practitioners.

Payment Options

We accept cash and all forms of major credit and debit card excluding American Express.

Insurance Osteopaths: Charles Dunning & Rachel Shaw offer limited places for clients wishing to pay via selected insurance companies – if you would like to pay via insurance, please mention this prior to booking your appointment.

Official receipts are available upon request – these detail the Practitioners formal qualifications alongside appointment and payment details. If you would like an Official Receipt, please speak to a member of the Reception Team prior to your appointment.
