Can you treat my child/under 18 year old?
All our Practitioners are guided by their own governing bodies and will have individual procedures in place when treating children (some Practitioners may not treat minors at all). Your child’s Practitioner will advise you of their own procedures.
Osteopathy (including Cranial Osteopathy) - Children 16 years and under must be accompanied throughout appointments by a parent or legal guardian.
Talking Therapies (this includes Hypnotherapy, Counselling and Emotional Freedom Technique) - Children 18 years and under must be accompanied throughout appointments by a parent or legal guardian. A consent form must also be signed prior to treatment.
Can I continue my treatments during pregnancy?
Some treatments may not be suitable for women during certain stages or throughout pregnancy. Other treatments may need adjusting. Please always let your practitioner know if you are or think you may be pregnant.
Can I have treatments with my long term/life limiting health issue?
We are devoted to supporting clients in the best way possible, working with the individual and their specific needs.
All our Practitioners are self-employed and follow guidelines dictated by their governing bodies and their own business ethos on who they can help and support.
When it comes to treating clients with serious health issues, including life limiting conditions, our Practitioners have to look at both the positive and possible negative effects on a case-to-case basis. If the Practitioner feels they may be able to offer support, they will then carry out an assessment, consulting with the client before agreeing to any treatment.
Unfortunately, in some cases treatment may not be possible.
If you do receive treatment from our Practitioners, please do bear in mind:
- Our treatments are in no way a replacement for those offered by the NHS/western medicine and should never be used as such;
- Advice should always be sought from your NHS/western medicine specialist before receiving any additional treatment;
