Depression and anxiety are the most common forms of mental distress in the UK.

Anxiety means fear and fear is a normal part of the human existence but if you find that your fears are stopping you from enjoying your life then it is time to seek help.  Depression is a state where you feel sad for the whole time but there is no particular reason for you to feel sad.  It is a real illness and its effects can be profound. Talking therapies like Counselling and Hypnotherapy can be very helpful, as can body based approaches like Massage, Reiki and Acupuncture and for some people exercise is the thing that works.  Help is available and it is important to reach out and ask for it before things get too bad.
