Allen Sikara – Manipulative Therapist
My name is Allen Sikara. I currently work as a Manipulative Therapist – offering Sports & Deep Tissue Massage at the Bridge Centre. My passion is in bridging the gap between traditional medical treatments with holistic interventions such as massage, and rehabilitative exercise.
I went into personal training following a short stint playing professional basketball abroad. As a personal trainer I specialised in working with clinically obese and diabetic clients. Shortly after, I opened up a private personal training studio and further developed my skill set by completing a level 4 sports massage course. This allowed me to provide and incorporate a dual approach to training and recovery for my clients. I progressed on to do further qualifications in cupping therapy and eventually took the plunge and enrolled at Staffordshire University to do an Osteopathy degree.
In 2020 Covid forced the closure of the PT studio, allowing me to focus on my degree. After 5 challenging years I successfully graduated with a degree in Osteopathy (B.Ost Osteopathy Hons). I wanted to be a part of an established, multidisciplinary team to continue my development in Osteopathic medicine and was fortunate to find the perfect place to both continue and develop. I look forward to being able to offer Osteopathy treatments at the Centre in the near future.*
In my spare time I enjoy a round of golf if the weather permits and going to the gym.
*Allen has completed his 5-year Osteopathic medicine course and graduated from Osteopathic College. He is currently not registered as an Osteopath, but is fully trained and insured in manipulative therapy.
What people say about Allen
Had been experiencing neck pain and was bothering and concerning me for quite some time. One session with Allen and fixed me. I will definitely be attending monthly just for maintenance and his very extensive knowledge about this profession and history.
