Because of the high level of stress in modern society it is incredibly important that we build relaxation into our lives.

There is much research to show the relationship between high stress levels and poor health.  We know that stress not only affects our moods but can lead to major and potentially dangerous physical and mental disorders.  Stress can cause mental health problems,  raise our blood pressure and at its worst damage arteries to the point there becomes a blockage and heart disease. Stress is also known to cause or worsen bowel conditions and lower our immune systems, causing our bodies to more susceptible to infections and viruses. We need to relax and rest in order to stay healthy and to enjoy our lives.
