In this blog we’ll be looking at what the Lymphatic System is, and why it might benefit from Massage.

The Lymphatic System forms part of your immune system and is made up of lymph nodes, vessels and organs which work together to build your defenses against viruses and infections and to drain fluid from your tissues to be returned to your bloodstream.

Lymph Nodes can become swollen whether the body is fighting a virus or infection, or post-surgery, during these times the gentle rhythmic strokes and light pressure of Lymphatic Drainage Massage may be beneficial to encourage Lymph Fluid movement. This in turn helps reduce waste and toxins that may be in the Lymphatic System.

We would recommend speaking to your doctor or physician to check whether Lymphatic Drainage Massage is suitable for you.

Please note that we are not currently able to offer Lymphatic Drainage Massage to anyone who currently has cancer or has received cancer treatment within the last 6 months.
