Hollywood films and entertainment shows have played a significant role in the common misconceptions around Hypnotherapy! We’re pleased therefore to report that in reality there’s no pendulum and absolutely no chickens!

So now we know what hypnosis isn’t, let’s talk about what it actually is!

Hypnotherapy is simply a relaxed state, often described as being similar to daydreaming, or as if you were immersed in your favourite film or book.

During hypnosis you experience heightened awareness and openness to suggestion as your therapist guides you through the changes you want to make, helping you gain control over situations which may be holding you back.

Throughout the session you remain fully in control and aware of what is being said at all times, and you can choose to leave the state of hypnosis whenever you please.
