Pre-Holiday Checklist

The flights are booked and the hotel is all paid for, the only thing left to do is locate your flip-flops and pack your Factor 50, or is it?

Before you condense your pre-holiday preparation to a quickly scribbled packing list (or a spreadsheet if you’re super-organised), take a look at our Bridge Centre Pre-Holiday Checklist to help you get in tip-top condition for your break.

Hypnotherapy

Fear of flying (or any other mode of transport!) can be a considerable source of anxiety in the lead up to a holiday. While some might argue it’s normal to be a little nervous about air travel, that’s no reason why you should suffer if it’s causing you stress. Hypnotherapy can help you manage fears and phobias as your therapist works with you to overcome the thoughts that are holding you back. All of our Hypnotherapists offer a free, no obligation, 30 minute consultation.

Massage

Many of us book a holiday with the anticipation of relaxation at the forefront of our minds. However the lead up can often leave us more burnt out and frazzled than ever, with so much to remember and prepare before it’s time to leave. Why not take some time out to keep stress levels down and treat yourself to a relaxing massage before you go? It’s also a great idea to address any niggling aches and pains before a lengthy journey, to avoid exacerbating any tensions.

Pilates

Relaxing by the pool is not everyone's cup of tea, if you’re counting down to a more active holiday, how can you make sure you’re in tip-top condition to get the most out of your break? Pilates offers a gentle combination of exercise and controlled movement to help improve posture, and develop balanced strength and flexibility. Through either 1:1 or 1:2 guidance your Pilates Instructor will work with you to create a tailored program based upon your current ability and what you would like your body to achieve. A fabulous exercise program to see you through your holiday and beyond!

Hopi Ear Candles

This soothing and relaxing treatment is popular before flights! Hopi Ear Candling is a relaxing, non-invasive therapy using hollow tubes (Hopi Candles) impregnated with honey, beeswax and healing herbs. One end of the candle is lit and the other end inserted into the ear. With ancient origins, Hopi Ear Candles have long been used to aid relaxation and help with a wide range of auricular complaints.

Osteopathy

From lifting heavy luggage, to sitting on a plane for hours, sometimes a relaxing trip away can be great for the mind, but still take its toll on the body. If you have any joint or muscular pains it’s a good idea to get checked out before you go on holiday. An Osteopath uses techniques such as manipulation, joint articulation, gentle soft tissue and cranial osteopathy to help bring the body back to full functional health.
